Federica's Early Life and Music Journey
Federica Falzon was born in a small village called Safi in Malta. She loved music from a young age. She started singing when she was 8 years old. Her grandpa often took her to karaoke clubs. There, many people encouraged her to take singing lessons.
In 2011, Federica performed for the first time in front of an audience. This was at an event called Festa Hiliet. She sang two songs: "Sailing" by The Sutherland Brothers and "Rose Garden" by Lynn Anderson.
Discovering Her Voice
Federica first started as a country-pop singer. However, she soon found a love for classical music. Her vocal teacher, Gillian Attard, from Malta's La Voix Academy, helped her discover this passion.
Federica also took part in a competition called Sanremo D.O.C. She won the 2014 season of RAI UNO's Ti lascio una canzone. This was a big achievement, especially since she did not know Italian when she first arrived in Italy. In November 2013, Federica won another competition. It was called Ghanja Gmiel is-Seba Noti. She won with her original song titled "Ilwien il-Holqien," which means "Nature's Colours."
On July 18, Federica was a special guest performer. She sang at an annual concert in Floriana, Malta. This concert featured the famous Maltese tenor, Joseph Calleja.
