Feed Me Bubbe was a fun online cooking show that taught viewers how to make Jewish food. The star of the show was Bertha Jonas, known as "Bubbe." "Bubbe" is a Yiddish word that means "Grandmother." Her grandson, Avrom, helped host the show. He would often say that "Bubbe" was one of the most important words he knew when he was hungry for Kosher (special Jewish) food. They filmed the show right in Bubbe's kitchen in Worcester, Massachusetts.

About Feed Me Bubbe
Feed Me Bubbe was a special kind of online show called a "vodcast." A vodcast is like a podcast, but it includes videos instead of just audio. This show was made by a company called Chalutz Productions. The word Chalutz means "pioneer" in Hebrew.
How the Show Became Popular
Feed Me Bubbe quickly became very popular. It was even mentioned in newspapers in Britain! Avrom and Bubbe were also guests on many other podcasts. This helped their show reach a lot of people around the world.
The first episode of Feed Me Bubbe came out on June 16, 2006. Each episode was usually short, lasting about 7 to 15 minutes. It was one of the first shows launched by the Instant Media Network. In just one month, over 300 people subscribed to Feed Me Bubbe. This made it one of the most watched vodcasts on the network. The show was even nominated for an award in the cooking category at the first annual Vloggie Awards.
What Happened in Each Episode
In every episode, Bubbe would share a new recipe. She would teach everyone how to cook it step-by-step. While cooking, she also told interesting stories from her past.
The show had a fun part called "Yiddish Word of the Day." In this segment, Avrom learned a new Yiddish word from Bubbe. Later, they added another part called "Ask Bubbe." Here, Bubbe would answer questions and read comments from viewers.
Bertha Jonas, who played Bubbe, passed away on August 7, 2014. Her husband, Bernard, who was the videographer for the show, passed away on May 18, 2015. He was known as "Zaide," which means "Grandfather" in Yiddish.
Who Were the Stars?
- Bubbe: She was Avrom's grandmother, a co-host, and the main chef on the show.
- Avrom: He was the producer and also a co-host of Feed Me Bubbe.
- Zaide: This was Bubbe's husband. He was the person who filmed all the episodes.
Even though "Bubbe" was her stage name, she was Avrom's real grandmother. Her real name was not used on the show to protect her privacy. Sometimes, for media appearances, she used the name "Bayla Sher." This was her Yiddish first name combined with her maiden last name.
