About Felicity Campbell
Felicity Campbell grew up in Sussex, a county in southern England. She was taught at home before going on to study art. Her art studies took her to famous cities in Europe, including Paris, Rome, and The Hague.
Later, in London, she learned special art techniques. She studied `lithography`, which is a way of printing images, and illustration. Her teacher for these subjects was E. J. Sullivan.
Campbell worked as a `commercial artist`. This means she created art for businesses, like for advertisements or designs. She also painted very small, detailed pictures called `miniatures`. Besides this, she illustrated many books, adding pictures to their stories.
She used different art materials in her work. These included `pastels`, `watercolours`, and `pencil`. Her art was shown in important exhibitions. She displayed her paintings at the `Royal Academy` in London during the early 1960s. She also exhibited with the `International Society of Sculptors, Painters and Gravers` and at Walker's Gallery. For some time, she lived in a place called `Guestling` in Sussex.
