He is also a lawyer and works as a special adviser to the Governor of Kwara State on Arts, Culture, and Tourism. Femi is the son of another well-known actor, Adebayo Salami. In 2024, he won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards for his part in the movie Jagun Jagun.

Femi Adebayo was born in Lagos State, Nigeria, on December 31, 1978. His father, Adebayo Salami, is a famous actor. His family comes from Ilorin, which is in Kwara State.

Education

Femi Adebayo went to C&S College in Ilorin, Kwara State, for his secondary school. After that, he studied at the University of Ilorin. There, he earned a bachelor's degree in law. Later, he continued his studies at the University of Ibadan and got a master's degree in law.

Femi Adebayo started acting in 1985. His first movie was called Ogun Ajaye, and his father directed it.

He has acted in more than 500 Nigerian movies. He has won many awards for his acting. For example, he won four awards as the Best Yoruba Actor at the African Film Awards. He also won an award in 2012 for Best of Nollywood.

Femi Adebayo has been in many popular movies. Some of them include Sonto Alapata, Wura Ati Fadaka, and Buga. He also runs his own media company called J-15 Media Network Nigeria.

He has worked as an ambassador for big companies. He signed a deal with StarTimes, a digital TV platform. In July 2022, he also became an ambassador for Kubanah whisky. In 2022, he was nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy at the AMVCA.

Personal Life

Femi Adebayo married Omotayo Adebayo on October 9, 2016. They have one son together. Femi also has three other children from an earlier marriage.
