Early Life of Fiona O'Shaughnessy
Fiona O'Shaughnessy was born in Galway, Ireland. Her father worked with computers, and her mother was a seamstress, someone who sews clothes. When Fiona was nine years old, her family moved to Reading in England.
About ten years later, she moved back to Galway. There, she started working in theatre. At age 24, she moved to Dublin, the capital city of Ireland, to continue her acting career.

One of Fiona O'Shaughnessy's first big roles on stage was playing Salome for the Gate Theatre in Dublin. She also performed in The Shaughraun at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. This play later moved to the West End in London in 2005.
In 2006, she acted in a play called Blackwater Angel in London. She has also performed in many other plays at the Gate Theatre, such as Arms and the Man and The Importance of Being Earnest. She played Cate in the first Irish show of the play Blasted.
