How Fire Department Coffee Started

Fire Department Coffee was created by Luke Schneider. He used to be a Navy veteran and worked as a firefighter and paramedic in Rockford.

Luke Schneider hired Jason Patton to help run the company. Jason is also a firefighter and has a popular YouTuber channel called "Fire Department Chronicles." He became a vice president and part-owner of the company.

Growing the Business

The company opened its first place to roast coffee in a local shopping area in 2016. Later, in January 2021, Fire Department Coffee bought a bigger building in Rockford. They turned it into a center to send their coffee all over the world.

In 2022, the company also bought a building to open its very first coffee shop. This shop is located on W. Riverside Blvd.

New Products and Partnerships

In October 2022, Fire Department Coffee started selling ready-to-drink coffees. These are coffees that are already brewed and ready to enjoy.

A famous mixed martial artist and former UFC champion, Stipe Miocic, appeared in a commercial for the company in 2020. In January 2023, Fire Department Coffee also teamed up with the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).

You can find their coffee in many stores. Some of their partners include Meijer, Albertsons, and Candy Cloud.

Helping Others

Fire Department Coffee does more than just sell coffee. They have a special non-profit group called the Fire Department Coffee Charitable Foundation.

This foundation helps sick and injured first responders. First responders are people like firefighters, paramedics, and police officers who are the first to arrive during emergencies. A part of the money from coffee sales goes to help these heroes.
