• Once the key word is chosen, all players lie down on their backs on the ground.

The Game Begins

• The leader will start by shouting, "Fire on the mountain!"
• All the other players must shout back, "Fire!" but they need to stay lying down.
• Then, the leader will shout another phrase, like "Fire on the river!" Again, the players respond with "Fire!" and stay lying down.
• The leader will keep changing the last word of the phrase, trying to think of many different places for the fire, like "Fire on the tree!" or "Fire in the house!" The players always respond with "Fire!" and stay still.

The Secret Keyword Challenge

• At any point during the game, the leader can suddenly shout out the secret key word. They might say it as part of a phrase, like "Fire on the cheese!" or just by itself, like "Cheese!"
• When the leader shouts the key word, all the players must jump up as fast as they can!
• The player who is the very last one to jump up is out of the game.
