Discovering the Museum's Story
How the Firing Line Museum Began
The Firing Line Museum opened its doors in 2010. Before that, the collections of these two army groups were kept in different places. The Queen's Dragoon Guards had their museum far away in Bowness-on-Windermere. The Welch Regiment Museum was already at Cardiff Castle, but in different towers. In 2010, all these amazing historical items were brought together. This created one big, new museum for everyone to enjoy at Cardiff Castle.
