Building the Church
In 1756, something amazing happened. Over 100 men worked together to build the main church building. They built it incredibly fast, finishing the whole structure in just three days! This building is still standing today on Federal Street.
A Famous Visitor
George Whitefield, the preacher who inspired the church's start, visited again in 1770. He stayed at the church's parsonage, which is the pastor's home. Sadly, he passed away during this visit. At his request, his remains were buried right under the pulpit of the church.
The Paul Revere Bell
The church has another special connection to history. The bell in its clock tower was made by Paul Revere. He was a famous American craftsman and patriot.
