Flåm is a small, beautiful village in Norway. It is located in the Aurland municipality, which is part of the Sogn og Fjordane county. Flåm is famous for its stunning natural beauty, especially its fjords and mountains.
Getting to Flåm
Flåm is a bit tucked away, but it's still easy to reach. The closest airport is Sogndal Airport, Haukåsen. This airport is about 70 kilometres (43 miles) away.
You can also get to Flåm by road. The European route E16 highway passes right through the village. This highway connects two of Norway's biggest cities, Oslo and Bergen.
How Many People Live Here?
Flåm is a small community. In 2014, about 350 people lived in the village. Even though it's small, many visitors come here each year to see the amazing sights.
