Fla-Vor-Ice is a super popular frozen treat! It's a type of "freezie" that comes in a plastic tube. Unlike regular popsicles that have a wooden stick, you just squeeze Fla-Vor-Ice out of its flexible wrapper. Many times, you buy Fla-Vor-Ice in liquid form and freeze it yourself at home. But sometimes, stores sell them already frozen and ready to eat!
Did you know that Fla-Vor-Ice makes about 1.5 billion of these cool treats every year? That's a lot of frozen fun!
What is Fla-Vor-Ice?
Fla-Vor-Ice is made by a company called Jel Sert. Since it first came out in 1969, it has become the company's best-selling product. These tasty ice pops are sold in different types, including Original, Light, Tropical, and Sport.
Different Flavors and Types
- Original Fla-Vor-Ice: This classic pack has six yummy flavors:
* Lemon Lime (green) * Grape (purple) * Tropical Punch (pink) * Orange (orange) * Berry Punch (blue) * Strawberry (red)
- Tropical Fla-Vor-Ice: This variety also has six flavors. Two are from the Original pack (Berry Punch and Tropical Punch). The other four are:
* Summer Punch (red) * Citrus Punch (green) * Pineapple (yellow) * Mango (orange)
- Light Fla-Vor-Ice: If you're looking for a sugar-free and low-calorie option, this is it! It includes four of the original flavors:
* Lemon Lime * Grape * Berry Punch * Strawberry
- Sport Fla-Vor-Ice: These are the newest addition to the Fla-Vor-Ice family. They have four flavors and include electrolytes. Electrolytes help your body rehydrate, which is great after playing sports or exercising! The flavors are:
* Tropical (pink) * Grape (purple) * Orange (orange) * Blue Raspberry (blue)
You can usually buy Fla-Vor-Ice in boxes of 16 or 24 pops. Some types, like the Tropical pops, are also sold in big cases of 100. The Original pops can even be found in huge cases of 80, 100, 200, or even 1,000 pops!
