Florin Vașken Halagian was a famous Romanian football player and coach. He was born on March 7, 1939, and passed away on August 12, 2019. People often called him Armeanul (The Armenian) because of his Armenian background.
He holds a special record in Romanian football. He coached the most games in Romania's top league, Liga I. He led his teams in 878 matches. Out of these, his teams won 432 games, drew 176, and lost 270. This shows how much experience he had!

Achievements and Awards
In 2008, Florin Halagian received a special award. The President of Romania, Traian Băsescu, honored him. He got "The Order 'The Sportive Merit'" award. This was for his amazing work as a football coach. He also helped train many young players. These players later became champions.
Coaching the National Team
Florin Halagian even coached the Romania national football team. He was their manager for one game in 1979.

Halagian was known for his unique coaching style. One of his most famous sayings was: Focu' la ei! This means "Fire at them!" He explained that this phrase encouraged his players. A Short Return to Coaching
In 2011, Halagian went back to coach Gloria Bistriţa. However, he left the team just three weeks later. This was due to some disagreements about team rules.
