Franklin Freeman Randall, known by his stage name Fly Young Red, is an American rapper. He is known for his music in the hip hop genre.
Early Life and Music Journey
Red was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He grew up in Southern California in a religious family. During his early teenage years, he was part of a short-lived hip hop and R&B group.
When he was fourteen years old, a big event changed his life. Due to Hurricane Katrina, he moved to Houston, Texas. He still lives there today.
In 2013, a music video was filmed for one of his songs. It was officially released on March 18, 2014. In an interview with BET in April 2014, Red shared his thoughts on his music career. He mentioned that he felt he "wasn't ready for a record deal" at that time. He also stated that he was not signed to a music label.
