Franklin Freeman Randall, known as Fly Young Red, is an American rapper. He is known for his music in the hip hop genre.
Early Life and Career Beginnings
Fly Young Red was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He grew up in Southern California. His family was religious, and he was active in his Christian faith during that time.
When he was a young teenager, he was part of a hip hop and R&B group. This group was together for a short time. At fourteen years old, he moved to Houston, Texas. This move happened because of Hurricane Katrina. He still lives in Houston today.
Developing His Music Career
Fly Young Red continued to work on his music. He became known as a rapper. In April 2014, he had an interview with BET. During this interview, he shared that he was not ready for a record deal. He also mentioned that he was not signed to a music label at that time.
