In boxing, a flyweight is a special group for boxers based on their weight. A flyweight boxer weighs more than 49 kilograms (108 pounds) but no more than 52 kilograms (112 pounds). Boxing organizations created many different weight groups. This helps make sure that fighters compete against others who are about the same size. Most of these groups are separated by only a few pounds.
