Ford Taurus facts for kids
The Ford Taurus was a popular car made by the Ford Motor Company. It was first built in 1986 and continued until 2006. Later, in 2008, Ford brought back the Taurus name for other cars. They renamed the Ford Five Hundred car as the Taurus. They also changed the name of the Ford Freestyle crossover (a car that mixes features of an SUV and a car) to "Taurus X". These newer Taurus models were made until 2015. In 2016, Ford showed a fancy new Taurus, but it was only sold in China. Ford stopped making the Taurus completely soon after. This was because fewer people were buying them, and more people wanted crossovers and SUVs.
