Francis Donkin Bedford (1864–1954) was a talented British artist. He was also known as F. D. Bedford. He became famous for drawing pictures for many popular children's books. He was born in London and lived there his whole life.

Francis Donkin Bedford was born in Notting Hill, a part of London, in 1864. He grew up to be a skilled artist. He painted scenes from everyday life, which are called genre scenes.
