Francis Arthur Fahy (born 29 September 1854 – died 1935) was an important Irish writer and songwriter. He was also a nationalist, meaning he strongly supported his home country, Ireland. Francis Fahy is best known for writing the popular song "The Ould Plaid Shawl." He worked with other musicians, including Alicia Adélaide Needham, who was a talented composer.
