An Artist's Life
Francis Seth Frost had his own art studio, which is a special workspace for artists, in the Studio Building on Tremont Street in Boston. Here, he would create his beautiful paintings and develop his photographs. He was known for his landscapes, often showing the natural beauty of places he visited.
Frost & Adams: Art Supplies
In 1869, Frost decided to combine his love for art with business. He teamed up with E.H. Adams to start a company called Frost & Adams. This company sold materials that other artists needed, like paints, brushes, and canvases. Their business was very successful and continued to grow well into the 20th century, helping many artists get the supplies they needed to create their own masterpieces.
