Francisco Armero y Fernández de Peñaranda (born May 3, 1804, in Fuentes de Andalucía – died July 1, 1866, in Seville) was an important Spanish leader. He was a brave naval officer and a skilled politician. He even became the Prime Minister of Spain for a short time. He also held the special title of Marquess of Nervión and was a Grandee of Spain, which meant he belonged to a very high rank of nobility.

Early Life and Naval Career

Francisco Armero started his career in the Navy when he was just 16 years old. He joined the military to serve his country. He was a brave fighter and took part in several important battles.

Key Battles and Service

He fought in the Battle of Trocadero in 1823. This was a conflict in Spain. He also served in the Peruvian War of Independence in 1824. This war was about Peru gaining its freedom. Later, he fought in the First Carlist War from 1834 to 1840. This was a civil war in Spain.

A Career in Government

After his time in the Navy, Francisco Armero became involved in politics. He served as a minister many times. A minister is like a high-ranking government official. They are in charge of a specific part of the government.
