Francesc "Nino" Buscató Durlán, born on April 21, 1940, is a famous Spanish former professional basketball player and coach. He is often called Nino Buscató or Francisco Buscató. He played as a point guard, which is a key position in basketball.

Nino was 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 m) tall. He was recognized as one of the best players in Europe. He was chosen for the FIBA European Selection five times between 1968 and 1973. In 1991, he was even named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players, a very special honor! He also shared the UNESCO International Fair Play Award in 1970.

Playing for Clubs

Nino Buscató spent most of his club career playing for two big teams. These were FC Barcelona and Joventut Badalona. During his time with these teams, he won some important titles.

He helped his teams win the Spanish League championship twice. These wins happened in 1959 and 1968. He also won the Spanish Basketball Cup two times, in 1959 and 1969.

Playing for Spain

Nino Buscató also played for the senior Spanish national team. He represented his country in international games from 1959 to 1973.

One of his biggest achievements with the national team was winning a silver medal. This happened at the EuroBasket 1973 tournament. He was also named to the All-Tournament Team at that event. He scored about 11 points per game during the tournament. Nino also played in three different Olympic Games for Spain.
