Francisco Javier Prado Aránguiz (born March 8, 1929 – died June 23, 2020) was an important Chilean Roman Catholic leader. He served as a bishop in different parts of Chile for many years. He was born in Santiago de Chile.

Helping in Valparaíso

After his time in Iquique, he moved to Valparaíso. From 1988 to 1993, he served as an auxiliary bishop there. An auxiliary bishop helps the main bishop with their duties.

Leading in Rancagua

His last major role was as the bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rancagua. He held this position from 1993 until 2004. Rancagua is a city in central Chile.

Later Years

Bishop Francisco Javier Prado Aránguiz passed away in Santiago de Chile on June 23, 2020. He was 91 years old.
