Francisco Morales Lomas was born in Campillo de Arenas, Jaén, Spain in 1957. He is a talented writer who creates many different kinds of works. He is a poet, a novelist (someone who writes novels), a playwright (someone who writes plays), an essayist (someone who writes essays), and a literary critic (someone who reviews books).
He is also part of a group of writers called the Generation of Transition. People say his poetry shows strong human kindness and a deep personal commitment to his beliefs.

Francisco Morales Lomas went to high school in Granada. He also studied at the University of Granada. During his time there, he met other famous writers like Javier Egea and Luis García Montero. He also learned from well-known teachers such as Juan Carlos Rodríguez Gómez.
He lived in Granada until he was 23. After that, he spent five years in Barcelona. Today, he lives in Malaga.
Francisco Morales Lomas holds many important positions:
