Francisco Sánchez de la Fuente was an important leader in the Catholic Church who lived in the 1400s. He served as a bishop in two different cities in Spain: first in Ávila and later in Córdoba. He passed away in September 1498.
Life of Francisco Sánchez de la Fuente
Francisco Sánchez de la Fuente became a bishop in 1493. A bishop is a high-ranking leader in the Christian church. He was chosen for this role in the city of Ávila by the King of Spain. His appointment was then confirmed by Pope Alexander VI, who was the leader of the Catholic Church at that time.
In 1496, Pope Alexander VI gave Francisco Sánchez de la Fuente a new important job. He was appointed as the Bishop of Córdoba. He continued to serve the church in Córdoba until he died in September 1498.
