Frank Bayly was a New Zealand cricket player. He was born on August 9, 1860, in New Plymouth, New Zealand. Frank passed away on November 23, 1948, in Auckland. He played one important cricket match, known as a first-class match, for the Taranaki team during the 1882/83 season.
A Sporting Family
Frank Bayly came from a very sporty family. He was one of six brothers who all played cricket and rugby for the Taranaki region. This shows how talented the Bayly family was in sports!
Frank's Brothers
- Alfred Bayly (1866-1901): Alfred also played cricket and rugby for Taranaki. He even represented and captained the New Zealand national rugby team.
- George Bayly (1856-1938): George was another Taranaki cricket and rugby player. He later became the president of both the Taranaki and New Zealand Rugby Unions.
- Harry Bayly (1862–1935): Harry was a cricket player for Taranaki, just like Frank.
- Walter Bayly (1869–1950): Walter played rugby for Taranaki and also for the New Zealand national team.
