Frank Ronald Lobos Acuña, born on September 25, 1976, is a former professional football player from Chile. He played as a midfielder. His biggest achievement was helping the Chilean team get third place at the 1993 U-17 World Cup. He was one of the most important players on that team. Other key players included Manuel Neira, Héctor Tapia, Sebastián Rozental, Dante Poli, Ariel Salas, Patricio Galaz, and Alejandro Osorio.

Playing for Chile: International Games
Frank Lobos played for Chile in two major youth football tournaments. He was part of the team at the 1993 FIFA U17 World Championship in Japan. There, his team achieved an amazing third place. He also played in the 1995 FIFA U20 Championship in Qatar.
Besides these world championships, he also represented Chile in regional tournaments. He played in the 1993 South American U17 Championship. He also took part in the 1995 South American U20 Championship.
Life Outside Football
After the 1993 U17 World Championship, Frank Lobos and his teammates became quite famous. Because of this, he was invited to be a jury member at the 1994 Viña del Mar International Song Festival. This is a very popular music event in Chile. He also acted in a TV series called Rompecorazón [es]. In 2011, he appeared on a reality show called Año cero [es] (which means "Year Zero").
Since 2015, Frank Lobos has been working as a football coach. He also gives motivational talks. He works in prisons, organizing football games and other activities for people there. The Ministry of Justice helps to pay for these programs.
Frank Lobos is good friends with another former footballer, Juan Carlos Alegría.
In 2016, Lobos ran for a position as a councillor for the Puente Alto commune. He was supported by the Radical Party of Chile. In the 2024 Chilean municipal elections, he was elected as a councillor for the Cerro Navia commune. He was supported by the National Renewal party.
