Later, he opened another restaurant called Sel de la Terre on State Street in Boston. In 2016, he opened Riverbend in Essex, Massachusetts.

While working at L'Espalier, Frank McClelland also started a company called New France. This company managed his different restaurants.

He also teamed up with another chef, Daniel Bojorquez. They had worked together at L'Espalier and Sel de la Terre. Together, they opened a restaurant called La Brasa in Somerville.

In 2019, Frank McClelland opened a new restaurant named Frank. This restaurant is located in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Awards and Special Recognitions

Frank McClelland has received many important awards for his cooking. While he was at L'Espalier, the restaurant earned the Five Diamond Award from AAA seventeen times in a row. This is a very high honor for restaurants.

In 1986, Food & Wine magazine recognized him as one of the top 25 new chefs in the United States to watch.
