František Filip (born December 26, 1930 – died January 9, 2021) was a famous Czech director. He made many movies and TV shows.

About František Filip
František Filip studied at a film school in Prague in the 1950s. There, he made his first documentary film. After finishing school, he started working at Czechoslovak Television in 1954. He worked there for many years, even after he officially retired.
He was a very busy director! Over his career, he directed around 600 different movies and TV shows. These included all kinds of stories for people of all ages. In 2017, he received a special award called the Thalia Award. This award recognized his amazing work.
