Frederick "Fred" Agius was born on February 2, 1984. He is an Australian footballer who plays as a left midfielder. Fred is known for playing for the South Australian Amateur Soccer League team Brahma Lodge. What makes Fred special is that he played both soccer and Australian rules football at a high level. In 2003, he even played Australian rules for Central District.

Fred Agius's Soccer Journey
Fred Agius started his soccer journey playing for the South Australian Sport Institute. He played in their Under 23 division from 1998 to 2000. This was a great start to his career.
Playing for Australia's Youth Team
In 2001, Fred was chosen to play for the Australian Under-17 team. They competed in the 2001 FIFA U-17 World Championship. Fred played in four matches during this big tournament. He even scored one goal for his country. Before the main tournament, he scored six goals in a warm-up match against American Samoa!
Joining Professional Clubs
After his time with the national youth team, Fred joined Playford City in 2001. Later that year, he moved to Sydney Olympic for the 2001/02 National Soccer League season. He played four times for Sydney Olympic, usually coming on as a substitute.
In the 2003/04 season, Fred returned to soccer and joined the new Adelaide United team. This team was formed after Adelaide City left the competition. Fred played in 13 matches for Adelaide United and scored one goal. After that season, he went back to play for Adelaide City.
Moving to the A-League
In November 2008, a new team called North Queensland Fury showed interest in Fred. They were joining Australia's top soccer league, the A-League. Adelaide City agreed to let him go for A$20,000. In December 2008, North Queensland Fury officially announced Fred Agius as their new player. He played for them in the 2009–2010 A-League season.
Fred Agius's Australian Rules Career
After the 2001–02 soccer season, Fred decided to try Australian rules football. This was a sport he had played when he was younger. He joined Central District and earned a spot on their reserve grade team. He even won a championship medal with them in the grand final! This shows how talented Fred is in different sports.
