Fred Cash is an American soul singer, born on October 8, 1940. He is best known as a long-time member of the famous music group, The Impressions. This group is known for its smooth harmonies and important songs.

Early Days and The Impressions

Fred Cash was part of the very first version of the group. Back then, they were called The Roosters. This group later changed its name to The Impressions.

He left the group for a short time. But he soon came back in 1960. He took the place of another original member, Jerry Butler. Fred Cash became one of the members who stayed with The Impressions for the longest time.

Hall of Fame Honors

Because of his important role in The Impressions, Fred Cash has been honored many times.

In 1991, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This is a very special place for music legends. He was inducted along with the other members of The Impressions.

Later, in 2016, Fred Cash and The Impressions received another big honor. They were inducted into the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame. These awards show how much their music meant to people.

Still Making Music

Fred Cash continues to perform and tour with The Impressions even today. He helps keep their classic sound alive for new fans.
