Fred Daniels started his professional baseball career in 1919 with the St. Louis Giants. This was just before the first official Negro National League was formed in 1920. He was part of the early days of organized Negro League baseball.

Throughout his career, Daniels played for several different teams. In 1920, he joined the Dallas Black Giants. Later, from 1923 to 1927, he pitched for the Birmingham Black Barons. He also played a season with the Lincoln Giants in 1924. His time in these leagues showed his skill and dedication to the sport.

A Long and Full Life

Fred Daniels lived a very long life, reaching the age of 100. He passed away on February 27, 1993. He is buried at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro, Virginia. His long life meant he saw many changes in baseball and the world.
