Fred Earl Gladding was an American baseball player and coach. He was born on June 28, 1936, in Flat Rock, Michigan. He played as a right-handed pitcher for 13 seasons. His career in Major League Baseball (MLB) lasted from 1961 to 1973. During this time, he played for two teams: the Detroit Tigers and the Houston Astros. Fred Gladding was 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighed 220 pounds. He passed away on May 21, 2015.
