The French Sailing Federation (French: Fédération Française de voile, often called FFV) is the main organization for the sport of sailing in France. It is officially recognized by World Sailing, which is the global group that governs sailing around the world. The FFV helps organize sailing events and supports sailors across France.
History of the FFV
The French Sailing Federation was first started in 1946. When it was founded, it had a slightly different name: the Fédération de yachting à voile. Over the years, it grew to become the important organization it is today for French sailing.
