Frosted Flakes is a popular breakfast cereal made by Kellogg's. It's a lot like corn flakes, but with a sweet, frosted sugar coating. This yummy cereal was first introduced in 1952. Back then, it was called "Sugar Frosted Flakes," but the word "sugar" was dropped in the 1970s.

The famous mascot for Frosted Flakes is Tony the Tiger. He has been the face of the cereal since the very beginning! Tony the Tiger is known for his exciting catchphrase: "They're grrreat!"

Tony the Tiger's voice was first provided by Thurl Ravenscroft until 2005. Since 2006, the character has been voiced by Lee Marshall. Besides the classic version, Frosted Flakes are also available with apple or banana pieces, or coated in chocolate. In 2004, Kellogg's even made a version with 1/3 less sugar.

  • The name "Frosted Flakes" can be used by any company that makes a similar product. However, the name "Frosties" is a special trademark. This means only Kellogg's can use the name "Frosties."
  • In Mexico and other Spanish-speaking countries, this cereal is called "Zucaritas."
  • In Brazil, it is known as "Sucrilhos."
