Fruit City, Missouri facts for kids
Fruit City is a small, unincorporated community. It is located in Reynolds County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. An unincorporated community means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.

History
Fruit City got its name because of the many fruit orchards nearby. These orchards were full of fruit trees, like apple or peach trees.
A post office opened in Fruit City in 1912. This was a place where people could send and receive mail. The post office stayed open for about ten years. It closed down in 1922.
