Fulkerson, Virginia facts for kids
Fulkerson is a small place in Scott County, Virginia, in the United States. It's known as an "unincorporated community," which means it's a group of homes and businesses that don't have their own local government like a city or town does. Instead, it's managed by the county government.
History
Fulkerson got its name from two early residents, James and Abraham Fulkerson. A post office was opened in Fulkerson in 1860. This was an important place for people to send and receive letters and packages. The post office stayed open for many years until it closed in 1889.
