Fumitake Miura (三浦 文丈, born August 12, 1970) is a Japanese football manager and a former player. He is currently an assistant coach for the J2 League club Júbilo Iwata.

Fumitake Miura's Playing Career

Fumitake Miura was born in Shizuoka, Japan, on August 12, 1970. After finishing his studies at the University of Tsukuba, he began his professional football journey.

Early Years with Yokohama Marinos

In 1993, Miura joined Yokohama Marinos. He quickly became an important player. He often played as an attacking midfielder or a forward. In 1995, his team, Yokohama Marinos, won the J1 League title. This was a big achievement early in his career.

Moving to New Teams

By 1998, Miura started playing less often for Yokohama Marinos. In 1999, he moved to Kyoto Purple Sanga. Later that same year, in October 1999, he joined Júbilo Iwata. With Júbilo Iwata, he helped the team win the J1 League title in 1999.

Time at FC Tokyo

In 2001, Miura moved to FC Tokyo. Here, he played many games as a defensive midfielder. He helped FC Tokyo win the 2004 J.League Cup. This was a very special moment because it was the first major trophy in FC Tokyo's history. After 2005, he played less frequently. He decided to retire from playing football at the end of the 2006 season.

Fumitake Miura's Coaching Journey

After retiring as a player, Fumitake Miura started a new chapter as a coach.

Starting as a Coach

He began his coaching career at FC Tokyo in 2007. From 2009 to 2015, he coached at several other clubs. These included Yokohama F. Marinos (2009–2012), Albirex Niigata (2013–2014), and Avispa Fukuoka (2015).

Becoming a Manager

In 2016, Miura became the main manager for AC Nagano Parceiro, a club in the J3 League. He led the team to a strong 3rd place finish in the 2016 season. In 2017, he took on a bigger role as manager of J1 League club Albirex Niigata. However, the team struggled, winning only one game out of ten. He left the club in May 2017.

Recent Coaching Roles

In 2018, he joined J2 League club Fagiano Okayama as an assistant coach. From 2019 to 2021, he was the manager for SC Sagamihara in the J3 League. As of July 2025, Fumitake Miura is an assistant coach for Júbilo Iwata.
