Fun-Plex facts for kids

Fun-Plex is a super fun amusement park located in Omaha, Nebraska. It's the biggest amusement park in Nebraska!

Fun-Plex started way back in 1979. Back then, it was called "The Kart Ranch" and only had a go-kart track. Over the years, it grew into the awesome park it is today, adding lots of exciting rides and water features.

In 2015, Fun-Plex added a cool new water area called Makana Splash. This water play structure has a huge 317-gallon bucket that tips over and splashes water on everyone below! The next year, in 2016, they built Breakers Bay Bar, which is Nebraska's only swim-up bar. Then, in 2018, Fun-Plex added Rockin' Rapids. This was a huge new attraction with two exciting tube slides for one or two riders.

Rides and Attractions

Fun-Plex has many different rides for all ages. You can race your friends on the slick track or splash around in the bumper boats. For younger kids, there's the Go-Gator kiddie coaster.

Water Park Fun

The park also has a great waterpark area. You can ride the waves in the wave pool or zoom down five-story waterslides. If you want to relax, float along the lazy river. There's also a special pool just for children.

Other Exciting Rides

Besides the water rides, Fun-Plex offers other fun attractions. You can spin around on the Tilt-A-Whirl or enjoy a classic ride on the carousel. There's also the Balloon Ferris wheel for great views. For those who like a spooky adventure, there was a walk-through haunt called A Nightmare On Q Street.

Past Attractions

In 2007, Fun-Plex added new, faster go-karts and a bigger track for racing. They also built a new 18-hole miniature golf course that year. Fun-Plex was once home to "The Big Ohhhh...", which was Nebraska's only roller coaster. This roller coaster had been used at other parks before coming to Fun-Plex. However, the roller coaster was removed from the park in 2018.
