The Groupement des industries françaises aéronautiques et spatiales (which is often shortened to GIFAS) is a special group for French companies that work with planes, rockets, and space technology. It's like a club for these businesses!
GIFAS was started a long time ago in 1908. Back then, it had a different name: Association des Industries de la Locomotion Aérienne. It got its current name, GIFAS, in 1975.
