GO!GO!7188 was a popular rock band from Japan. It had three members who played guitar, bass, and drums. The band was known for its energetic music. Their main singer was a woman. One of their most famous songs is "Koinouta".

The band started in 1998. Two high school friends, YUU (who sang and played guitar) and AKKO (who sang and played bass), formed it in Kagoshima prefecture. In 1999, they moved to Tokyo. There, they met their drummer, TURKEY.

GO!GO!7188 released many songs and albums. They put out 9 full-length albums, 12 singles, and 3 DVDs. When they first started, people called them a leading "girl's punk band." They mixed rock music with Japanese pop sounds.

The band became very important in Japanese rock music. They played many live shows, from small clubs to big places like the Nippon Budokan hall. Their songs were very original, and they were great performers.
