Gabriel DeAndre Freeman (born November 5, 1985) is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a small forward or power forward. Gabe Freeman is known for helping his teams win championships.
He won the ASEAN Basketball League championship with the Philippine Patriots in 2009. He also led the San Miguel Beermen to a championship in the Philippines that same year. Later, he helped the London Lightning win the NBL Canada Finals in 2012.

Early Life and College Basketball
Gabe Freeman was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He went to McClintock High School in Tempe, Arizona, graduating in 2004. After high school, he attended Southern Utah University. However, he did not play basketball for their team.
He later went to Mesa Community College. During the 2006–07 season, he was a top player there. He scored about 16.8 points and grabbed 8.9 rebounds per game.
Gabe Freeman's Professional Career
Gabe Freeman started his professional basketball career in 2007. He played for Correcaminos UAT Reynosa in Mexico. In 10 games, he averaged 22.6 points and 8.1 rebounds.
Playing in the CBA and Philippines
In 2008, Freeman joined the Albany Patroons in the CBA. His team reached the CBA Finals but did not win. For the Patroons, he averaged 14.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.
He then moved to the Philippines to play for the San Miguel Beermen. He quickly became a key player. He averaged 22.3 points and 15.5 rebounds in his first season. He was even named the "Best Import" player. The next season, he continued to play well, averaging 21.6 points and 17.3 rebounds.
In January 2010, Freeman joined the Philippine Patriots. He helped the San Miguel team win their 18th championship. Fans admired his hard work and dedication.
Time in Australia and Return to Philippines
On July 12, 2010, Freeman signed with the Townsville Crocodiles. This team plays in Australia's NBL.
He returned to the Philippine Patriots in December 2010. In a game in January 2011, he had an amazing performance. He scored 36 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and made 5 assists.
Success with the London Lightning
In October 2011, Gabe Freeman joined the London Lightning in Canada. This team is part of the National Basketball League of Canada. He quickly became a star player. He was named the NBL Canada Player of the Week multiple times.
The Lightning finished the season with a great record of 28 wins and 8 losses. On March 14, 2012, Freeman was named the NBL Canada's Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Even more importantly, on March 25, he led the Lightning to victory. They won the first-ever NBL Canada championship. Freeman was also named the Finals' MVP for his outstanding play.
Later Career and Championships
After his success in Canada, Freeman signed with the PBA team Barako Bull Energy in April 2012. He continued to perform well, averaging 21.7 points and 14.0 rebounds.
He returned to the Philippine Patriots in September 2012. In 2013, he signed with the San Miguel Beermen again.
In 2014, Freeman played for the Rochester Razorsharks. This team is in the Premier Basketball League (PBL). He led his team to a PBL championship. He was named the league MVP and the playoff MVP. He averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds per game.
On November 19, 2015, Freeman signed with the Saint John Mill Rats in Canada. He later played for the St. John's Edge in 2018.
Personal Life
Gabe Freeman cares about helping young people. He started a foundation in London, Ontario, Canada. This foundation helps kids who might not have the money to play basketball. He also used to work as a mechanic at a motorcycle shop in Phoenix.
