About Gabe Okoye

Gabe Okoye was born in a place called Enugwu-Agidi. In 1981, he moved to the United States. When he first arrived, he worked as a security guard. Later, he went to college and studied to become a civil engineer. A civil engineer designs and builds things like roads, bridges, and buildings.

After becoming an engineer, Gabe Okoye started his own company called Essex Geoscientist. He is married and has four children. Since 1992, he has lived in Atlanta, Georgia.

His Work in Politics

Gabe Okoye is a member of the Democratic Party. In 2016, he became the chairman of the Democratic Party in Gwinnett County. This means he was in charge of the party's activities in that area.

In 2018, under his leadership, the Democratic Party won many elections in the county. They won 13 out of 25 available seats. This was a very important achievement. Because of these big wins, the Georgia House of Representatives honored him. In 2019, they passed something called Resolution 313. This resolution declared November 6, 2019, as "Gabe Okoye Leadership Day." This day celebrates his strong leadership and success.
