Gabriela Ștefania Enache (born 27 December 1974) is a retired football player from Romania. She played as a forward and later as a defender. Gabriela is famous for being the top goal scorer for the Romania women's national football team.
She made history on 14 August 2001. Gabriela scored the very first goal and the first hat-trick (three goals in one game) in the UEFA Women's Cup. This was a big European club football tournament, now known as the UEFA Women's Champions League. She was also the top goal scorer in that first tournament!

Gabriela's Early Football Journey
Gabriela Enache grew up in Brăila, a city in eastern Romania. When she was younger, she first played handball. But at 15, she decided to switch to football. Just one year later, she started playing in the Division B league with a team called Voința Brăila.

Gabriela played for several football clubs during her career. She played in Romania, Moldova, and Italy.
Playing Football in Romania
Gabriela started her club career in Romania. She played for Voința Brăila, which later became Venus Brăila. After that team stopped, she joined Fartec Brașov. She also played for CFR Constanța and then for ICIM Brașov. Later, she joined Conpet Ploiești, a champion team.
Winning the Romanian League
Gabriela helped her teams win the Romanian league three times. She won it with Fartec Brașov in 1995. Then, she won it twice more with Conpet Ploiești in 1999 and 2000.
European Adventures in Moldova
After her time with Conpet Ploiești, Gabriela moved to Moldova. She joined a team called FC Codru Anenii Noi (also known as FC Codru Chișinău). In her first season there, her team won the Moldovan Women's Football Championship. This win meant they could play in the very first UEFA women's club competition, the 2001–02 UEFA Women's Cup.
Making History in the UEFA Women's Cup
In the UEFA Women's Cup, Gabriela played against a Slovenian team called NK Ilirija Ljubljana. She scored four goals in the first game and an amazing six goals in the second game! Her team won 18–0 overall. Gabriela's goal in the second minute of the first game was the first goal ever scored in the tournament. Her third goal in that game was also the tournament's first hat-trick. She scored two more goals against a team from Armenia. Gabriela finished the tournament with 12 goals, which was more than any other player!
Playing Football in Italy
In 2002, Gabriela moved to Italy. She wanted to join a team called ASD Torres Calcio. However, she could not get a work permit to play for them. Instead, she joined Atletico Orestano, a team in Serie B. She signed a professional contract with them. In 2003, she moved to another team called Villaputzu.
Scoring Goals and Changing Positions
During her eight years as a forward in Italy, Gabriela scored over 130 goals! In 2010, she changed her playing position. She became a central defender for ACF Villacidro. Gabriela retired from playing football in 2012.
Playing for Her Country
Gabriela Enache played for the Romania women's national football team for 11 years. She played in 92 international games and scored an impressive 57 goals. This makes her Romania's all-time leading female international goal scorer!

Gabriela Enache is married to Miron Tudose. He is a Romanian coach and was also a football player.
