Gaehwa Station is a train station in Seoul, South Korea. It is part of the Seoul Subway system, specifically on Line 9. This station is unique because it's the only one on Line 9 that is built above ground! It's also where the main office for the Seoul Metro Line 9 Corporation is located.

Station History
When Gaehwa Station Opened
Gaehwa Station officially got its name on September 18, 2008. It opened to the public on July 24, 2009. This was the same day that the first part of Seoul Subway Line 9 began operating, connecting Gaehwa to Sinnonhyeon.
Station Layout
Gaehwa Station has a special design. It is the only station on Line 9 that is not underground.
Platforms
The train platforms at Gaehwa Station are on the first floor. This is where you wait for your train to arrive. Trains on Line 9 travel towards Sports Complex, passing through Gimpo International Airport.
Station Lobby
The station lobby, also known as the concourse, is on the second floor. Here, you can find customer service, shops, vending machines, and ATMs. The street level, where you enter and exit the station, is on the ground floor.
