Gage is a very small desert settlement in western Luna County, New Mexico, United States. It is not an official town with its own local government, which is why it's called an unincorporated area. The Story of Gage: A Desert Hamlet
Gage was once a small community, but today, not much of it remains. It's a bit like a "ghost town" because most of its buildings are gone.
Gage's Past Population
In 1930, a census showed that 102 people lived in Gage. For a while, it was a small, active place.
What Remains Today
Over time, most of Gage's buildings were taken down or fell apart. Now, only a few things are left. Travelers can still find a stop there with a service station to get gas and a small snack shop. It's a quiet reminder of what used to be.
