Gail Maurice is a Canadian actress, writer, and producer. She is famous for playing the main character in the film Johnny Greyeyes. She also played Dorothy Pine in the TV show Cardinal and Georgina in Trickster.

Gail Maurice's Career in Film and TV
Gail Maurice leads her own film company called Assini Productions. This company has created several films, including Smudge (2006), Kihtwam misawac na-wapamitin (2011), Assini (2015), and Rosie (2018).
She helped write and starred in the 2020 film Québexit, directed by Joshua Demers. At the 2020 Whistler Film Festival, Gail Maurice, Joshua Demers, and Xavier Yuvens won an award. They received the Borsos Competition award for Best Screenplay in a Canadian Film. This award is given for the best movie script.
Gail Maurice has also been nominated for important awards. In 2021, she was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Program or Series. This was for her role in the TV show Trickster. The next year, in 2022, she was nominated again. This time it was for Best Supporting Actress in a Film for her work in Night Raiders.
Rosie is a special film for Gail Maurice. It was her very first feature film as a director. It expanded on a shorter film she made in 2018 with the same name. Rosie was shown for the first time at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.
