Diggstown is a Canadian legal drama television series created by Floyd Kane. It's special because it was the first Canadian drama to have a Black Canadian woman as its main character. The show stars Vinessa Antoine as Marcie Diggs, a smart lawyer who decides to leave her big corporate job. She moves to work at a legal aid clinic in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. A legal aid clinic helps people who can't afford a lawyer get legal help.
The first season of Diggstown started on CBC Television on March 6, 2019. People liked it, so a second season was announced in May 2019. The show was renewed for a third season on June 21, 2020, which premiered on October 6, 2021. In early 2021, a big American TV company called Fox also started showing the series.
In October 2022, the CBC announced that the fourth season would be the last. The final episode aired on November 16, 2022.
