Garzón is a small village located in the southeastern part of Uruguay. It's found in the Maldonado Department.
The name "Garzón" also refers to the larger area, or municipality, that the village is part of. This municipality includes several interesting places like Faro José Ignacio, Playa Juanita, and the beautiful Laguna Garzón. A famous landmark here is the Laguna Garzón Bridge.

Where is Garzón Located?
The village of Garzón is right on the border with the Rocha Department. It sits next to a stream called Arroyo Garzón. This stream flows into the Atlantic Ocean about 22 kilometers (about 13.5 miles) away.
Garzón's History
Garzón officially became a "Pueblo," which means a village, on August 21, 1936. This happened when a special law, Ley Nº 9.587, was passed.
