Gasherbrum V facts for kids
Gasherbrum V is a very tall mountain in the Karakoram mountain range. It stands at about 7,133 metres (23,402 ft) high. This impressive peak is located in Pakistan. For a long time, people thought Gasherbrum V was just a part of a nearby mountain called Gasherbrum IV. This idea changed in 1934 when it was recognized as its own separate mountain.
Who First Climbed Gasherbrum V?
Reaching the top of Gasherbrum V is a huge challenge. The first people to successfully climb this mountain were Seong Nak-jong and Ahn Chi-young. They made history when they reached the summit in 2014. Their climb was a big achievement in the world of mountaineering.
