Gaspard and Lisa is a fun animated TV show for young children. It's based on a series of popular books by Anne Gutman and Georg Hallensleben. The show was made by two companies, Chorion and Impossible TV, working together.

About the Show

Gaspard and Lisa are two best friends who go on many exciting adventures. They always try to do good things. Sometimes, their actions cause a little trouble for others, especially for Mr. Huget. When they realize they've made a mistake, they exclaim, "Uh oh! Catastrophe!" But don't worry, they always find a way to fix things. Once the problem is solved, they cheer, "Yes, triumph!"

Meet the Characters

Here are the main characters you'll meet in Gaspard and Lisa:

Gaspard's Family

  • Gaspard: Gaspard is a black dog who is one of the main characters. He wears a cool blue scarf. He lives in a tall apartment building in Paris. Gaspard goes to school, and that's where he met his best friend, Lisa. He used to be shy when he first moved to Paris, but Lisa helped him feel special. He's also good at judo, but he's a little scared of chickens!
  • Charles: Charles is Gaspard's older brother. He loves playing chess and often wears headphones. Sometimes he acts a bit snobby towards Gaspard and Lisa, but he can also be very kind.
  • Gaspard's Dad: Gaspard's dad wears a blue and green striped tie. He writes for a newspaper and enjoys competitive cycling. He's also allergic to cats!
  • Gaspard's Mom: Gaspard's mom stays at home and wears a pretty purple pearl necklace.
  • Granny Mathilde: She is Gaspard's grandmother from his dad's side. She lives in a blue house far from the city with her pet dog, Prince.

Lisa's Family

  • Lisa: Lisa is a white dog and Gaspard's best friend. She wears a bright red scarf. Lisa lives in a famous building called the Pompidou Centre. She's almost always with Gaspard, even when he visits his grandma. Lisa loves to sing and dance, especially when Gaspard feels sad. When she cries, she sniffs but doesn't shed tears.
  • Victoria: Victoria is Lisa's older sister. Like Charles, she can sometimes be a bit snobby to Gaspard and Lisa. She might even push Lisa's books or mess up her puzzles. But she did give Lisa a compliment once when Lisa learned to ride her bike without training wheels!
  • Lila: Lila is Lisa's baby sister. She wears a purple outfit. There's an episode that tells the story of when Lila was born and how Lisa learned to love her new sister.
  • Lisa's Papa: Lisa's dad wears a gray jacket.
  • Lisa's Mama: Lisa's mom stays at home and wears a green necklace.
  • Lisa's Grandfather: Lisa's grandfather has a deep voice and wears a brown vest. He loves biscuits and is a bit of a magician! He's been married to Lisa's grandmother for forty years.

Other Friends

  • Mlle Baladi: She is Gaspard and Lisa's teacher. She rides a yellow bicycle and sometimes brings her pet dog, Jean Claude, on outings.
  • Monseur Huget: An older man who lives in the same apartment building as Gaspard. Gaspard and Lisa often accidentally cause him trouble, but they always try to make it right.
  • Bastian: One of Gaspard and Lisa's classmates.
  • Adrian: Another classmate of Gaspard and Lisa, who is French with African heritage.
  • Erica: The only girl known in their school class besides Lisa.
  • Victoria: One of Victoria's friends. She gave a kitten to Lisa, who then gave it to Monseur Huget.
  • Madame Perrault: Mlle Baladi's friend who loves art.
  • Monseur Delphy: The friendly owner of the pet store.
  • Madame Merosh: The baker who makes delicious treats.
