Gavà is a town in Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the Baix Llobregat area, which is a part of the province of Barcelona. Gavà sits right on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It is found between the towns of Viladecans and Castelldefels.
Gavà has a lovely beach. The town is split into two main parts. There is the main city area and a coastal part called Gavà Mar. "Mar" means "sea" in Catalan.
The person in charge of Gavà is called the mayor. The current mayor belongs to the Socialists' Party of Catalonia.
